I heard so much about the over powering smells and the poverty in India. So I was surprised by how clean and modern Bangalor is. Clearly we are in a nice neighborhood. Walking a few blocks back from the hotel, I found beautiful, well manicured homes on quiet streets. The air is pretty clean. And the weather is beautiful - warm in the day, cool at night. It is really nice.
The traffic is heavy and loud. People are constantly honking their horns. And we did see plenty of the expected cows walking in the road. Also lots of dogs everywhere.
We will be traveling to a slum area tomorrow. So that will likely give us a different view of the city. Friday we will get a chance to see a rural area.
